This snowman framed in painted balsam boughs and a bow can be painted on a 6″ round basket lid or adapted to any surface of your choice.

I’ve painted this design with Traditions acrylics, but I’ve given you simple conversion instructions to adapt it to any paints you may have on hand.  The colors are basic, just pick some from your own stock.

I’ve included line drawings to fit a 6″ round basket as well as a larger 8″ version.  Also included is a 6″ grayscale which you can use to trace a more precise pattern if you desire, and it also is an easy reference for where to place your shadows and highlights.
