I became fascinated with digital cutting stencils when visiting my daughter-in-law this fall. I took a class from her and wanted to try one of my design, so came up with this quicky Halloween decor using clip art and fonts on my computer. I jazzed it up with a bit of extra painting touches. You can do this as a stenciled design if you have a digital cutter like a Silhouette or Cricut. I’ve also provided a drawing and instructions if you want to paint the regular way.
The design is painted with DecoArt Americana Acrylics Pattern includes supply list, instructions, closeup photo. If you have a cutter you can download the jpg files and use them to cut your own stencils.
I’ve painted it on a simple pine board… a 1″x12″ from the local home improvement store, and you can have the cut it into 12″ lengths. (NOTE: a 1×12 is really only 3/4″ thick x 11-1/2″ wide, so your result will be 11-1/2″x12″. If you are painting the design, simply use a 12×12 canvas.
PURCHASE THE PATTERN
You can also purchase the pattern in digital format or print format at DecorativePaintingStore.com
PURCHASE THE CUTTING FILES

If you have a Silhouette, Cricut, or other digital cutter you should be able to load these into your software and cut the stencil for this design using Oramask Stencil Vinyl and Transfer Paper.
