April 2019 – Be a Unicorn

Be a Unicorn in a Field of Horses

by Sharon Chinn

I saw some white Icelandic horses in a video and they were so magical looking I was inspired to paint a unicorn.

This design is painted with a soft variegated background in a rainbow of pastel colors.  I used a vinyl stencil for my lettering.  If you have a digital cutter, there are links below to png or Silhouette Studio 3 files which you can upload to your cutter software to cut your own stencil.  If you need an svg file instead, just let me know and I’ll make one up and email it to you.  Alternately, you can simply trace the lettering and paint it in a normal fashion.  The pattern includes the lettering for you to trace.

Pattern includes 12 pages of colored photos, supply list, instructions, and line drawing to trace.  It can be painted on any surface of your choice.  I’ve painted mine on a 15 inch x 10.5 inch garden plaque available from CDWood.com.  I’ve also included a 50% reduced pattern which can be used for an ornament.

The design is painted with DecoArt Americana Acrylics.
